||||||||| Catherwood re-enters the Waiting Room and explains "This is the main discussion room which is logged each night."
||||||||| Catherwood announces, "The time is 4:32 AM - I now declare Thursday's chat log for July 06, 2023 officially open!"... and then, he retires back to the vestibule...
||||||||| Catherwood ushers Rufus_T_Firetween inside, makes a note of the time (8:00 PM), then fades off into the distance going on about the waiting room or the sitting room or something.
||||||||| Catherwood enters the room, strikes a gong, and bellows "THE TIME IN NEW YORK IS 7 O'CLOCK", then silently exits.
||||||||| It's 7:15 PM, and that means it's time to play BEAT THE REAPER! And here's how our contestants did:
||||||||| Rufus_T_Firetween - dead from jaundice
||||||||| Better luck next time! And now, back to our chatroom, which is already in progress...
||||||||| Catherwood strides in with a trumpet, plays a fanfare, and proclaims "Nine PM on Thursday, July 06, 2023 - I now declare alt.comedy.firesgn-thtre's chat officially open!" -- then he looks around at the empty room, looks at his watch, and mumbles "...am I early?"
||||||||| Gusts of wind blow in from outside and the thumpa-thumpa-thumpa of helicopter blades is heard as Happy Panditt's chopper lands on the lawn and DJTweeny disembarks at 8:00 PM.
||||||||| Catherwood stomps in at 8:00 PM, dragging Rufus_T_Firetween by one leg and asks "Can anyone vouch for this yahoo?"
||||||||| Tweeny bounds in at 8:00 PM carrying an obsidian door knocker.

Bottles: Yay another new collage! Not all Ralph Spoilsport, is it? I hate his voice.
Cease: None in my collage. A lot of Jack Poet though.
Bottles: Dont remember Jack Peet.
Beet: Proctor was just imitating the voice of Ralph Williams.
Cease: It's called Firesign Motors and its meant to be intersectional between the race in this, the car guy Bob and folowed by Ralph in 2 places
Bottles: Yeah I know. I never seen Ralph either, just know the name
Cease: Firesign did a bunch of ads for Jack Poet Volkswagon. We heard some here last week
||||||||| Catherwood interjects: "They're in everyone's eggs."
Cease: Funny ads and funny story. VW was Really pissed off at them.
||||||||| Catherwood interjects: "And you can believe me - because I never lie, and I'm always right."
Cease: Repossessed the VWs that Jack had leased the guys in payment for the ads.
Bottles: You were a repo man, eh? Ever get assaulted>
Cease: Me?
Bottles: Oh, wait Jack was fictitious, right...
Cease: Of course not, HIs daughter is active on the facebook groups
Bottles: I thought you were saying you repossed VWs
Cease: very close to the guys, but yes Jack had to repossess the bugs, under pressure form VW
Cease: i've never repossesed anything and never will
Beet: Got to be one of the worst professions out there.
Bottles: As bad as telemarketing? I used to do that. Horrible.
Cease: Did you see that flick about that, Bottles? Quite good.
Bottles: No
Beet: Repo Man
Bottles: Oh, that, yeah. I thought you meant a flick about telemarketing
Cease: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5688932/
Cease: yes i did, bottles. you aen't following me at all today
Bottles: Estefez is great. Loved him in Young Buns, I mean Young Guns.

Cease: well worth it, beet
Bottles: I'll check it out too
Cease: please do
Cease: i heard the guy interviewed on maron and then found the flick in my local library
Bottles: I thought about starting a church for agnosticism.
Cease: which has a superb dvd collection, very up to date and lots of obscure stuff
Beet: We've all been victims of telemarketers.
Bottles: We were told to not let a potential customer hang up until they'd said no 3 times.
Bottles: I'll bet the FT guys would be great at telemarketing.
Cease: i neverd answer the phone unless i know the caller. everyone else can leave a message.
Cease: they're not that corrupt, bottles
Bottles: - or that desperate.
Merlyn: ya
Cease: love this jazz from austin
Cease: Denver. I'm planning to go there.

Cease: Morlog, less tree
Rufus_T_Firetween: heheh
Beet: Hi, Morlog.
Cease: I'm just flying in to see the meow wolf thing, then flying home next day. wont see the city.

Rufus_T_Firetween: Hey llan
Beet: Hi, Llan.
Cease: i try and avoid going anywhere I have to shlepp a coat.
||||||||| Catherwood accompanies Elayne inside, makes a note of the time (8:00 PM), then fades off into the distance going on about the waiting room or the sitting room or something.
Elayne: Evenin' all! Can't stay long
Rufus_T_Firetween: Hey Elayne
llanwyddorsomeonelikehim: shlepp! I havent heard that word in years
Beet: There's Elayne. Hi, Elayne.
llanwyddorsomeonelikehim: hi elayne
Elayne: Llan, you must not live in NY then. We use "schlep" daily.
Bottles: Hay llanwydd and Elayne ~
Merlyn: Hi Llan
Elayne: Bottles! Good to see you
Merlyn: Hey E
Bottles: Yoo too Elayne!
Elayne: Been having a blast of a staycation week, once the norovirus ran its course. Saw my godson yesterday (up visiting from FL, which he can't WAIT to get out of) and my cousin today
Elayne: Saturday we're headed to Lawn Guylan to see friends
Elayne: Best of all, they don't live in the part of Long Island that's near the LIE, so we won't have to worry about that headache
llanwyddorsomeonelikehim: I cant wait to get out of FL either. definitely this summer or fall
Bottles: My sister is a Democrat in Florida. It must drive her nuts
||||||||| A time machine materializes at 8:00 PM and johanamadeusmyjetski bounds out, carrying a grape from ancient Greece.
llanwyddorsomeonelikehim: not permanently of course. I have too much in fl
Elayne: That's when my godson is hoping to move back to NY, Llan.
Elayne: FL is a very dangerous and uncomfortable place to be now
Cease: Hi Jammy
johanamadeusmyjetski: hi Cease!
Cease: That's where Bruce Snyder is.
Beet: Hi, Mr. j.a.m.
llanwyddorsomeonelikehim: well it is miserably hot but I will probably live here the rest of my life
Elayne: Really Cat? I had no idea he was in FL
llanwyddorsomeonelikehim: I love FL
johanamadeusmyjetski: hi beet!
Bottles: Johan Gday
Cease: My parents nearly moved there in 1954.
Elayne: Llan, you and old Jews and followers of right-wing idjits, I guess
Beet: lol
Elayne: My godson lives in the Palm Beach area, which he says is one of two safe areas in the state in terms of progressive views
||||||||| Catherwood interjects: "What's all this brou-ha-ha?"
llanwyddorsomeonelikehim: there are other demogrphics as well
johanamadeusmyjetski: fair dinkum, bottles!
Elayne: The other being wherever the U of FL is
llanwyddorsomeonelikehim: well I am quite a ways north of palm bbeach so it is not miserable year round
Cease: I had thought Miami was civiliized.
morlog: ha
Bottles: Key West might be progressive, I hear it's sort of a gay destination
morlog: miami civilized
Cease: never been there
Bottles: Nor I
morlog: blue water port down in the keys
Merlyn: Hey J
Elayne: But he said stay away from the panhandle, that's actually Alabama South
llanwyddorsomeonelikehim: the only parts of fl I have never been in are the keys and the panhandle
Cease: If I hadn't discovered Meow Wolf, I would never imagein going to denver, or santa fe,
Beet: And then, they have that Governor.
||||||||| Catherwood interjects: "Don't worry about the flies, we won't weigh 'em!"
Elayne: Well, just so, Beet
Cease: opening a new one in dallas this month.
Elayne: What's Meow Wolf?
llanwyddorsomeonelikehim: the governor has been good to us
||||||||| Catherwood interjects: "I hate rich people. I hate them and their stupid problems."
Bottles: A new what, A Meow Wolf?
Elayne: How on earth do you figure that, Llan?
Cease: https://denverite.com/2021/09/17/heres-everything-to-know-before-your-meow-wolf-denver-visit/
johanamadeusmyjetski: do y'all realize Key West seceded from the usa several years ago. it's now 'the Conch Republic'
llanwyddorsomeonelikehim: well, I doubt you would know, elayne. I happen to be a beneficiary
Cease: yeah bottles. they're proliferarting
Elayne: LOL, Johan!
Cease: the highlight of my march vegas trip was going to meow wolf's omega mart. did a collage about it
Beet: That's pretty funny, j.a.m.
Elayne: Wait Llan, you say you and the elevator boy are in his family?
Bottles: I think a classmate wrote a book about Key West. Wanna read it someday.
Cease: it was like discovering the firesign theatre, only visual
llanwyddorsomeonelikehim: lol
johanamadeusmyjetski: true! they issued currency, blocked the A1A highway from miami...
Elayne: Ah, apparently it's an "immersive art experience" https://meowwolf.com/
Cease: yes
Beet: So, you can still secede from the U.S. if you want to?
Elayne: I like my art at a distance :)
Cease: 3 of them thus far. started in santa fe. artists collective from there.
llanwyddorsomeonelikehim: I thought the a1a was less than 30 miles long
||||||||| Catherwood interjects: "He can shout, don't hear you."
Bottles: Can we eject places from the US yet?
llanwyddorsomeonelikehim: I guess that was some time ago
Cease: the vegas one was, well, worth following up on.
Cease: i've sent them the collage i made so see if we can do something together.
Elayne: Good luck with that, Cat
llanwyddorsomeonelikehim: I live only about 3 miles from a1a
johanamadeusmyjetski: yes, but you still have to be very careful. capitulate quickly, apply for us foriegn aid immediately
Rufus_T_Firetween: FL Panhandle, llan?
Cease: i know i'm audio and they're video, but the ideas are going the same direction
Elayne: Gotta go. Spent way too long in the heat and sun today. Next week, all
||||||||| Elayne says "Catherwood, call me a cab." After the obvious joke, Elayne exits at 8:00 PM.
llanwyddorsomeonelikehim: no, I have never even visited the panhandle
Cease: by el
||||||||| Catherwood interjects: "May I see your passport, please?"
Rufus_T_Firetween: later Elayne, you and yours be well
johanamadeusmyjetski: bye elayne!
llanwyddorsomeonelikehim: you probably think I meant alabama, tween
