Elayne: Hoping Jeremy Braddock makes an appearance, I've been trying to get the two of you together.
Cease: Happy new Elaynear
Beet: Where it all began.
Elayne: Here's his KCRW podcast: https://www.kcrw.com/news-culture/shows/the-organist/be-in-two-places-at-once-the-firesign-theatre
Elayne: I think he'd make a good interview subject, and maybe we can play the podcast on a future chat?
||||||||| "Happy" Harry Cox pops in and say "I was right! Everything I knew WAS wrong! You CAN get "Profiles in Barbecue Sauce", chock full of meaty Firesign scripts!"
Cease: Wow
Elayne: He's a nice fellow, although I confessed to him that I didn't remember meeting him 20+ years ago. As I've mentioned to Cat and others, my episodic memory sucks.
Beet: Truth in every line.
DJTweeny: Cat, you want to check out the podcast and see what might fit?
Cease: sure
Cease: KBOO shouldn't be our only plug
Cease: Lots of great interviews with Firesign on many podcasts.
Rufus_T_Firetween: ** Read about “WAITING FOR THE ELECTRICIAN” at >> https://firesigntheatrelegacy.com/media/media.php?item=wfte-ln
DJTweeny: Yeah, might be a really good resource
Elayne: If you're interested in playing it and Jeremy doesn't show up this evening, you may wish to contact him. I have his email address.
||||||||| Ralph Spoilsport drives in through the door and says "Buy a new or used T-shirt from the Firesign Theatre Cafepress store! Hurry before this sentence ends!"
Cease: good idea, E
Cease: Ive been plugged into netflicks for the last month. free service ends saturday and i just discovered bourdain has a series i've never seen called The Layover
Cease: A discernible distance from the heights of his last show, but he's always delightful to watch
Elayne: Cat, I didn't care for that series that much, but I suppose any Bourdain is better than the reality of no Bourdain.
Cease: exactly
Cease: did you see the last episode of Parts about the lower east side of nyc>
Elayne: I have a few things on my Netflix queue but I've a hankering latelh to go analog and catch up on comics and graphic novels. As well as Phil's and Dave's bio books.
Elayne: Cat, to tell you the truth I stopped watching when he died. Too painful for me to look at, at least for awhile.
Cease: just finished dave's bio yesterday and exchanged emails with him
Cease: the last episode was extradinary. mostly about artists in nyc. reminded me of visiting that gathering of artists when i first visited you in 2005
Cease: and firesign spent most of their time iwth artists on their 70 tour of east coast
Cease: its great to read both proctor and ossman's audobis together.
Elayne: That's my aim, when I finish the graphic novel pile. The way I'm going it'll be spring before I get to 'em.
Cease: bourdain;s last shows were great works of art
Beet: What is the name of the series with the NYC episode?
Cease: Parts Unkown, Anthony Bourdain.
Beet: Thanks.
Cease: CNN
Cease: The music video that ends the last show is the most beautiful thing i've ever seen on tv.
Cease: seeing it was like hearing this album for the first time
Beet: wow
Elayne: That's my illness caught up with me. Almost better from this lurgy I've had since Christmas, but not quite. If Jeremy comes by tell him I said hi. Next week, all.
